This desk is part of “What’s on Your Work Desk Wednesday” run by lovely Julia Dunnit at The Stamping Ground. This week my desk is in a satisfying state of chaos as it’s full of left overs of finished and half finished projects.
The big tub in the foreground is Matt Medium which I get through a lot of as generally no piece of paper is safe unless it’s collaged and layered with lots of stuff. I have also been zentangling which you can see a bit more of here if you fancy. It’s basically doodling on acid and I’m playing with mixing it up with other styles and shapes.
I am working on being a much better blogger and am taking a course to help me do it. It’s from Shimelle Laine and you can find it on her blog here.
So you should be seeing a lot more of me…
I found your blog from BBFS, I love your zentangles and your website is beautiful:)

Fantastic drawing you have done there! And your ZenTangling looks fab! I have just started in mixed media and I already know what you mean about going thru the matte medium at a rapid rate! That and the gesso!
Happy WOYWW!

Beautiful work! I love the way you used it around the face! My husband has been ‘doodling’ for many years and creates some awesome work too. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #28

Hello – have popped in from BBfS – hope you enjoy the class. Am very impressed with your “doodles” – looks a lot more like ART to me! I do admit to wanting to have a go at mixed media – but daren’t start another new crafty hobby – well not yet anyway! J x

Love your doodling – I have been playing at doodling this week too on an older post on my blog. I would love to know what you think of shimelle’s course, I was thinking of perhap’s giving it a go!

From my experience so far – I’m really enjoying Shimelles’s prompts – they are giving me lots of food for thought – and it’s great to be a part of a community all trying to do the same thing. Also it costs a very reasonable £9. I’m pretty confident that I will come away with a better blog at the end of it.

Perhaps we should set up a craft book reading group! Not only could we review – but we could do some of the techniques too!

Thanks Holly, It’s called zentangling because it’s like zen meditation – it is very relaxing – but can be addictive – so be warned! 🙂
